Concept phone Mi Mix from Xiomi is the most awaited mobile phone. It is the first edgeless phone from Xiomi. Xiomi Mi Mix is designed by French designer Philippe Starck. Due to its border-less design, Xiomi Mi Mix resembles a slab of glass. Xiomi used high-grade ceramic for this phone. Xiaomi is using “seamless connectors to fuse Mi Mix’s body without any external adhesives”.
The 6.4-inch full frontal display has 2040×1080 pixel resolution. Xiaomi Mi Mix has 17:9 ratio aspect. Due to edge-to-edge display, Xiomi Mi Mix doesn’t have a visible proximity sensor on top. It has ultrasonic proximity sensor embedded inside the display along with a compact front camera at the bottom. Xiaomi claims this front camera is 50 percent smaller than other front cameras.
This phone have a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and it provides maximum screen space to give users a better viewing experience.
Xiomi’s Mi Mix is already released in China. It is running on Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. Another variant of this phone has 6GB RAM and 256GB storage.
This phone is powered by 4400mAh battery. Mi Mix comes with Quick Charge 3.0. Mi Mix also comes with Full NFC Functionality and supports Mi-Pay. It also has GPS high-precision positioning. It has a 16MP pixel rear camera capable of taking good photography even in dim light.
The 18K gold version of the Mi MIX has gold rims around camera and fingerprint sensor. This is Xiaomi’s first concept phone, and it remains to be seen how it does in the market. On the first appearance, it looks like quite a stunning design, especially given the edge-to-edge display. Xiaomi has not announced if it plans to bring this phone to other countries as well.
